PAIN MANAGEMENT

Our approach to treatment for opioid-related addiction is to focus on research and development of acute and chronic non-opioid pain management solutions.

Opioid-related overdose deaths are an epidemic in the United States.

Yet, healthcare systems and doctors continue to prescribe opioids for pain treatment.

Substance abuse affects approximately 46 million people aged 12 or older in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”).

From a science addiction perspective, we also believe opioid-related addiction typically leads to chronic inflammation of the body’s immune system, which may cause other diseases such as:

AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES

We believe chronic inflammation of the human immune system is among the causes of over 50 diseases including Cystic Fibrosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Diabetes, and HIV/AIDs.

Autoimmune disease affects approximately 23 million Americans and nearly 80% of those are women, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.

ADVANCED CANCERS

Although Stage 4 breast cancer is not curable today, it may be controlled with treatment for some years. It is the 2nd leading cause of cancer death in woman.

Only lung cancer kills more women each year according to the American Cancer Society.

SUPERBUG INFECTIONS

cancer 1_edited.jpg

Superbugs are microscopic strains of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi resistant to standard antibiotics used to treat infections. Superbugs include pneumonia, urinary tract and skin infections, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The rise of antibiotic resistance can be traced back to the overuse of antibiotics, which are drugs designed to treat infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotics do not work on infections caused by other microbes such as viruses including COVID, flu or fungi.

Today, we believe superbug infections are an emergency threat and likely to become the next worldwide epidemic – not only to humans, but also to food supply.
